The funeral was held Aug. 29 at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal with the Rev. Jerry Young officiating. Burial was in Shenandoah Memorial Park.

Mr. Ritenour was born March 27, 192t), in Front Royal, the son of the late Glendon and Emma Ritenour. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Carpenters Local 2033.

Surviving ari his wife, Maxine Morrison Ritenour; two sons, Roger Ritenour of Los Angeles, Calif, and Kenneth Ray Ritenour of Murfreesboro, Term.; one stepson, Eddie Jones of Bunker Hill, W.Va.; one daughter, Elizabeth Grigsby of Front Royal; two brothers, Curtis Ritenour of Strasburg and Ashby Ritenour of Front Royal; one sister, Gladys Anderson of Painesville, Ohio; three foster children, Michael Atkins of Sperryville, Carl Stringfellow and Shelby Elkins, both of Front Royal; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three foster grandchildren.

Pallbearers were William Breeden, Lee Wines, Roy Proffitt, Sherman Breeden, Johnny Dofermire and Eric Magalis. Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Shipe, James Brinklow, Gary Baggarly, Harold Baggarly and Ned Atkins.
