the accident, said that apparently the brakes on Mr. Jones’s 1979 Chevrolet dump truck overheated and he lost control of the truck as he descended the mountain from Thornton Gap. The truck, which was loaded with gravel, crashed through the guard rail on a lefthand curve about 1 1/2 miles east of Skyline Drive, just west of the spring.
It careened down the steep embankment.
