The Board of Supervisors denied Virginia Cloud’s application to rezone a 36.17 acre parcel from Agricultural and Conservation to Rural Residential but approved Alvin Henry’s application to rezone a 1.6acre parcel from Agricultural to General Commercial following public hearings Monday evening.

When Mrs. Cloud’s application to rezone the property just offU.S. 211 west of Sperryville was brought to the Planning Commission in August, the planners approved it subject to proffers being signed that would limit the number of lots that could be placed on the property and specified that a deeded right-of-way be used to access the lots rather than the commom-use right-of-way that was being used.

Mrs. Cloud did not sign the proffers, and on the recommendation of County Administrator John McCarthy, the supervisors, after postponing consideration of the application
