Agricultural Extension Agent Tommy Williams, who accompanied the county’s 4-H group to Richmond for the fair, said “Each year I say that the 4-H’ers cannot do any better than last year’s crop, and each year they prove me wrong by doing better. I am proud of all of them.
“We’re especially proud of Scotty,” Mr. Williams said, “because of his enthusiasm and wide range of projects.”
Scotty’s father and mother, Randall and Toni Updike, are both 4-H adult leaders, and accompanied the group to Richmond to show their animals.
