“I don’t either,” commissioner Mitzie Young added.
“If you can’t hear it tonight,” Mr. Morehouse replied, “then I request that any subdivision henceforth be treated the same . . . We have bent over backwards to meet every possible letter of the law. I feel aggrieved in this matter — we have gone through such details to make it a good subdivision.
“We could,” Mr. Morehouse added, “have done a lot line adjustment and divided the property up and been done with it. ”
Mr. Morehouse said that only the lots created by the subdivision will be allowed to use the road, and the right-of-way will be controlled by the Mr. and Mrs. Parrish, who own the house on the opposite side. “It was designed that way intentionally.”
The Planning Commission will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. at the courthouse to hear comments on the proposed subdivision.
