CCLC yard sale
The Child Care and Learning Center will have a large yard sale on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to benefit CCLC’s scholarship fund. Books, ftimiture, children’s clothing, lots of toys and household items will be priced to sell. The sale will be held at Skyline Fruit stand next to the Rappahannock Coop. Contributions for the sale will be accepted at 8 a.m. on site the day of the event.
Animal Welfare to meet
Animal Welfare League will meet Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m. at Washington fire hall. All members and interested persons are urged to attend. For additional information contact Trish Drake, 675-3443.
RLV to meet
The Rappahannock Literacy Volunteers monthly meeting will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington on Oct. 6 at 9:30 a.m. Anyone interested in helping to improve the level of literacy in Rappahannock County is invited to join. For information call 675-3263.
Baseball meeting planned
The RAA/Amissville annual baseball meeting will be held Monday, Oct. 9 from 7-9 p.m. at the Amissville Baptist Church, Rt. 642. The meeting is open to the public. “Please plan to attend to help support one of the community’s youth programs,” said a spokeman.
