Jennie L. Haynes
Mrs. Jennie Lee Haynes, 62, wife of Charles Turner Haynes of Ami8sville, died September 30, at the Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Frances Lucy Grimsley Putnam. She was a member of Marantha Baptist Church at Amissville.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Betty Whorton of Rixeyville and Doris Sutphin of Warrenton; a son, James R. Whitmer of Reva; five grandchildren; and five sisters, Nanie Weaver and Katie Pearson, both of Hume, Alice Pullen of Flint Hill, Ethel Whitmer and Evelyn Megeth, both of Front Royal.
A funeral service was held Oct. 2, at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home, the Rev. Clyde R. Woodard officiating, with burial in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers were Graham Hackley, Gilbert Lawrence, Terry Cubbage, Roger Pickett, Kenneth Glascock, Kenneth Clater and Ronnie Kilby.
