Forest Grove Baptist
The Forest Grove Baptist Church in Viewtown will hold revival services Oct. 8-11, at 7:30 p.m.
The guest speaker will be the Rev. L. Starke Jones, who has been the pastor of the Woodville Baptist Church since March, 1988. Prior to his coming to Woodville, he was associated for a number of years with the Virginia Baptist Retirement Community in Culpeper, during which time he was widely sought after by the churches of this area as a guest speaker. Rev. Jones is a native of Fredericksburg and a graduate of the University of Richmond and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Mrs. Madelyn Jones have two children and three grandchildren.
Special music will be provided by the Forest Grove Baptist Church Choir on Sunday night, the Amissville United Methodist Church Choir on Monday night, the Amissville Baptist Church on Tuesday night, and Mr. C. Kyle Printz on Wednesday night. Everyone is invited to attend.
The Rev. Richard L. Horton, who was recently called to serve as the Shiloh Baptist Association’s first Director of Missions,, will be the guest speaker at the Forest Grove Baptist Church on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 11 a.m.
Anniversary celebration
On Sunday, Oct. 8 at 3 p.m. members of Hopewell Baptist Church will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of their pastor, Rev. U.S. Brokenburr. The Rev. Wesley Warren of Bethesda, Md.’ will be the guest speaker for the event. All are welcome to attend.
