And happiest of all is three-yearold Douglas Ashby Mills Jr. whose “I wanna see Red! I wanna see Red!” never stopped once he learned that his dog might have been found. “Dougie’s been playjng with him ever since he came home,” noted Mrs. Mills. “I do thank them for finding our dog. We are certainly pleased to have him back.”
In the nine months since RAWL was organized, more than 50 stray dogs and 25 homeless cats have been placed. Additionally, numerous reports of abuse and mistreatment have been quietly investigated and just as quietly corrected. But these good works depend on RAWL’s fund raising efforts.
Partiers can join Crazy Eights in going for the dogs at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10. Admission is $8 a person and $15 a couple. Refreshments will be available, provided by Spring Hill School.
