serving in Town government should disqualify these applicants or take from them the rights equally af forded every Town resident, as in this instance, to apply to subdivide privately-owned property? We know every applicant coming before us and we know, too - and trust that Mr. Miller will accept the fact - that with this Council, we seek only to ensure neither favoritism nor discrimination based on who an applicant is.
The record of this application shows that it was the subject of debate and consideration spanning four months. The public hearing before the Planning Commission involved three meetings and the application was before the Council as new business and for a public hearing at our November and December, 1989 meetings. All of these hearings and meetings were publicly advertised or announced in this newspaper. We believe this application was the subject of the most exhaustive review and consideration of any propped subdivision in the history of the Town.
