Ramer exhibition at gallery

Middle Street Gallery's exhibition for October is a one-woman show by Linda Ramer of Culpeper. Her show, "Working in Rhythm," will include environmental work in the gallery and bronze castings from life. The opening reception for "Working in Rhythm" will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The show will be on exhibit through Oct. 28. Gallery hours are Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. or by appointment (675-3440).

Seeking the child within

Lynn Weber will lead a workshop in creativity and the use of line, color, paints and pencil to explore childhood experiences with nature, transferring visual images to paper with pencil, crayons and paint. Meditation and guided imagery will also be explored. The workshop will be held at Sky Meadow State Park in Fauquier County on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $10 for gallery members, $15 for others.
