The two politicial parties no longer discuss how the government is to be run, they fight over who is to run it. Nobody talks about whether or not government should be something, they talk about how much is to be done by government.
Second, it should come as no surprise, then, that the public, having no real choice, refuses to participate in the electoral process. They have been deprived of their fundamental right in a democracy, the right “to throw the rascals out” because, under the two-party no-choice system, they would have to throw another rascal in.
What I hope to accomplish, then, is to make more people aware that there is an alternative, that their voice can be heard and heeded. Thist alternative is the write-in vote, a little known, little used but poten-, tially powerful weapon available to every frustrated voter.
