Slaughter's support solid To the editor: In a recent letter I said that one could judge a man by his opponents, meaning that the opposition to D. French Slaughter Jr. by a liberal organization made him all the more suitable for reelection. If Lee Bird had agreed with my statement I would have had to go back to the drawing board and restate the whole thing.
