When the Rappahannock
County Board of Supervisors met Thursday, October 1 at the courthouse, all members were present. The minutes of the last regular meeting, that of September 5 and those of a special meeting on the 15th were read and received approval. Among the items on the agenda to be discussed were roads, welfare, animal claims, trash, county brochure, revenue estimate from sales tax.
Two Eagle Scouts from Troop 65, Sperryville, are making plans for a 23 day trip to Philmont Scout Ranch, Cimarron, New Mexico from July 6 to July 29, 1971. Eagle Scouts Bill Kilby and Bill Stokes of Sperryville attended a Philmont Orientation program on Sunday, October 4 in Winchester where initial plans for the trip were discussed.
