Rockland Orchards on Rt. 614, off of Rt. 622 in Gid Brown Hollow offers pick-your-own apples from 9 a.m. to dusk each day. Also available will be homemade cider and pumpkins.
Various artists can be found at Old way Craft Village demonstrating woodwork, metal work, glass work and other fine arts.
Oldway will also present the OK’s Saturday night at the village on U.S. 211 West. Admission tickets are $7 per person. The five piece band will begin playing at 7 p.m.
The Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department will have a fall carnival starting tonight with two bands performing. Rides will be provided by West Virginia Amusement which will feature a Saturday and Sunday matinee from 1 to 5 p.m. Ride the afternoon away for only $5.
On Saturday evening the grand prize of $500 will be given away after the department’s honorary fire chief is crowned at 11 p.m.
Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. the Rappahannock County High School band will perform on the carnival grounds.
