The form, style and dance of three local artist are featured in the last of the series “The Exchange” at 7:30 p.m. April 7, at the Town Hall in Washington.
“Dancers and Choregraphers” is the final selection in this four part series. Artists Sally Nash, Sharon Wyrrick and Denise Read are featured.
While each of these artist is well-known in their own circles, they may be unfamiliar to the Rappahannock audience. For this reason, they were to conclude “The Exchange” series.
“It was called “The Exchange” because it has been and is devoted to dialoge between the artist and the audience,” Julie Portman, director of Ki Theatre in Rappahannock, said, adding not only is it a question-answer session but a means to show the audience how important it is to the art as well as making the audience familiar with the numerous disiplines of artists in our community. “Too many artist in this community do not have their works presented at home,” she said, and while these three women have performed on stages around the United States, some have
