Vergie Colvin
« Miss Vergie Pearl Colvin, 81, of Warrenton, died Friday, March 15 at the Fauquier Hospital.
A native of Flint Hill, she was the daughter of the late William T. and Rosie Rutherford Colvin.
She is survived by two sisters, Eliza Colvin of Warrenton and Mary Colvin of Culpeper.
A graveside service was held Monday, March 18 at Sperryville Cemetery with the Rev. J.B. Heck officiating.
Geest-Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Fred Atkins
Fred Washington Atkins, 65, of Front Royal, formerly of Washington, died Thursday, March 14 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Martinsburg, W. Va.
The funeral was conducted Monday, March 18 at the Culpeper National Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Huneycutt officating.
Mr. Atkins was bom in Sperryville, the son of the late Ashby and Maggie Frye Atkins. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
