In other police activity this week, a Castleton man was hospitalized after a head-on collision on Route 642, 200 feet south of Route 640, at 12:40 p.m. March 16, according to Sgt. G. A. Morris of the State Police.
Walter Reid, 49, of Castleton, was operating a 1977 Toyota pickup northbound on Route 642 when a southbound 1982 Ford came into his lane, said Sgt. Morris.
The Ford was operated by Thomas Taylor, 21, of Castleton. ,a Mr. Taylor was charged by Trooper S.M. Knick with reckless driving, said Sgt. Morris. T.
Mr. Reid was hospitalized.
Both vehicles were destroyed in the collision.
