Horse and
rabbit stew
To the Editor:
In last week’s Rappahannock News (March 14), a good article explaining the increase of some $8,000 in the ’91-’92 budget for the Rappahannock County Library appeared under an unfortunate headline.
The headline erroneously and, we are sure inadvertently, implied that the Rappahannock Library’s new building would “drive up” the coming year’s county budget.
This is like saying we have a horse-and-rabbit stew, 50-50: one horse and one rabbit! The rabbit, which represents our county library, could not affect the financial budget mix substantially any more than the rabbit could affect the stew.
