Surviving are two brothers', Eugene Atkins of Valdosta, Ga. and J.E. Atkins of Union Beach, N.J.; and two sisters, Jane Estes of Culpeper and Emily Price of Union Beach.

Susie Myrtle Scroggins, 74, of Rixeyville, widow of Carl Eugene Scroggins, died Thursday, March 14 at the Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
A native of Flint Hill, she was the daughter of the late George and Molly Fincham Burke.
She is survived by two sons, Eugene Scroggins of Culpeper and Williams Scroggins of Falls Church; four daughters, Edna Randall of Morrisville, Pauline Scroggins of Washington, Eleanor Pullen of Jeffersonton and Hazel Scott of Rixeyville; 22 grandchildren; 23 greatgrandchildren; and five brothers, Clarence Burke of Jonestown, Pa., Lewis Burke of Lebanon, Pa., Conner Burke of Cleona, Pa., Eppie Burke of Front Royal and Robert Burke of Florida.
A funeral was held on Sunday, March 17 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper, the Rev. Gordon D. George officating, with interment in Hillcrest Memory Gardens near Jeffersonton.
