Special Easter services will be held at Gid Brown Bible Church beginning at 10 a.m. on Sunday morning, followed by worship service at 11. Gid Brown Pastor John Burke will be preaching and invites the public to attend.
Trinity Episcopal
Trinity Episcopal Church will hold a “Seder-like” celebration on Thursday, March 28. On Good Friday, March 29 there will be a prayer service at 12 noon. On Easter Sunday, March 31 sunrise services will be held at 5:45 a.m. followed by Holy Eucharist at 8 a.m., Sunday school at 9:45 a.m. and Festival Eucharist at 11 a.m. followed by an Easter egg hunt during coffee hour.
Bicentennial
celebration
Shiloh Baptist Association, composed of 32 Southern Baptist churches in the Rappahannock, Culpeper and Orange area, will be celebrating its bicentennial, Thursday, April 4, at Culpeper Baptist Church. The celebration will consist of worship services at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and a covered-dish dinner at 6 p.m.
Guest speakers include James Dunn, executive director, Baptist Joint Committee on Public Affairs (5 p.m.) and Fred Anderson, executive director, Virginia Baptist Historical Society, appearing as John Leland, a Baptist pastor from the late 1700’s (7 p.m.)
Special music will include a massed choir from associational churches, a handbell choir, brass instruments, and the Ensemble of Culpeper Baptist Church.
The public is cordially invited to attend.
