Five people were arrested, four of them Rappahannock residents, on drug charges after a State Police traffic checkpoint on U.S. 211 in Fauquier County at 1 p.m. March 20, according to Sgt. Greg Morris of the State Police.
All five were charged with possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana by troopers F.P. Everhart and S.A. Hawkins.
The driver of the 1971 Chrysler was William Arias, 21, of Richmond.
Also charged were Beverly Frazier, 28, of Sperryville; Earnest Coats, 21, of Woodville; John Gaines, 21, of Sperryville; and Louis Moore, 20, of Flint Hill.
