holds meeting
Nearly 1,000 members, patrons, and friends of Culpeper Farmers’ Cooperative, Inc. attending annual membership meetings during the week of March 19 received positive reports on the cooperative’s 1990 operating year.
The meetings were held for the cooperative’s members served by retail operations in Culpeper, Remington, Warrenton, Marshall, Sperryville, and Maurertown.
T.E. Gore, the co-op’s executive vice president and general manager, reported that 1990 sales were $20 million.
Net savings of $635,000 enabled . the cooperative’s Board of Directors to declare a patronage refund of 3.54 percent.
Mr. Gore reported that during 1990 $927,000 in patronage equities were revolved back to the Cooperative’s patrons, making a total of $8.6 million in cash returned to patrons over the life of the cooperative.
