Burke, Donna Gore and Jona McKay will leave Washington, D.C., June 24 for the trip abroad. The young ladies will be accompanied by Linda Toth, a former teacher here, now employed by the Warren County School System.
The Washington Ladies Auxiliary plans to reopen the Thrift Shop soon. They will accept any donations of clothing, household articles and furniture which are no longer needed. Articles may be left at the Town Hall or pickup can be arranged by calling 675-3608.

Anticipating major surgery
threatened by the supervisors, Rappahannock’s School Board cut away for 3V2 hours Tuesday night, trimming approximately $64,200 from the educational expenditures for 198687 requested by Superintendent Robert Estabrook.
The Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad is sponsoring their annual Miss Rappahannock Beauty Pageant contest on April 4 at 7 p.m. at Rappahannock County Elementary School. Rehearsals will be held April 2 at 6 p.m. All contestants are asked to attend the rehearsal.
