Spring book fair
The Rappahannock County Elementary Library will be holding its spring book fair beginning Friday, April 5 and continuing through Thursday, April 11.
Retired teachers to meet -
District N Retired Teachers will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 4 at Carper Valley Golf Club, Route 50 East, Winchester. Reservations are required. Call 675-3553 by March 29 for reservations.
Beauty pageant planned
The annual beauty pageant sponsored by the Sperryville Rescue Squad will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 at Rappahannock High School. Practice will be at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5 and will include those between the ages of two and 21. Old Dominion races
The Old Dominion Hounds Point-to-Point Races will be held Saturday, April 6 at Ben Venue race course, 16 miles west of Warrenton on Highway 211. The first race goes off at 12 noon. There will be nine's races featured. Admission is $5, children under 12 free. On Sunday, April 7 at 1 p.m. the Old Dominion Hounds Hunting Pair Everit for pairs of horses or ponies which have been fairly hunted during the 1990-91 season will be held. Pre-entries only. Crazy Eights to perform
The Washington Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a dance beginning at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 20 at the fire hall. The Crazy Eights will perform. You must be 21 years of age to enter. Cost is $7 per person.
Christian aerobics
Aerobics exercise to contemporary Christian music is being offered to women in the community at Washington Baptist Church at 9:15 a.m. every Thursday morning. There is no charge and children are welcome to attend with their mothers. The music is uplifting and the exercise will help you with those New Year’s resolutions. Adult acting classes
