Rappahannock High track coach Doug Hunter expects individual performers to do well this season, but “the numbers just aren’t there” for the team to be competitive overall.
Nine boys and seven girls have been working out since Feb. 26 in preparation for the opening tri-meet April 3 at Strasburg.
Distance runner Matt Eidson, who finished seventh in the state last season in his distance category, is among those Mr. Hunter hopes will do well this year.
