wash leaves in lukewarm water. Place spinach in Dutch oven (do not add water); cover and cook over high heat 3 to 5 minutes. Drain spinach well; chop and set aside.

Certain GE brand and Universal brand Automatic Drip Coffeemakers, manufactured by GE before April 28, 1984, are being recalled because of a possible safety risk. GE believes that when a thermal fuse used in certain GE drip coffeemakers fails to function as intended, the units could overheat and pose a potential fire hazard.
GE has received approximately 400 reports of coffeemakers overheating. In some instances the coffeemakers caught fire, and there have been serious injuries, and allegations of substantial property damage and a few deaths.
Consumers may call 1-800-4439000 to confirm whether their drip coffeemaker is being recalled and, if necessary, to receive a prepaid mailing package to aid in returning the product. Consumers are offered $10 as a “thank you” for returning the old coffeemakers.
