Mr. Conry is living “in various motels” in preparation for moving permanently to Rappahannock. “Everywhere you look is some kind of bucolic scene up here you can’t believe. Coming from a metropolitan environment, you really appreciate the clean air.”
He has already attended a meeting of the Rappahannock Lions Club, which he called “a super experience. I met some wonderful people at the meeting and I thoroughly enjoyed it.”
He encouraged bank customers and all county residents to stop by and introduce themselves to him at the bank on Gay Street in Washington.
“I’m delighted to be here and become part of the Rappahannock County community. One of my main goals is to get out in the community and call upon you folks,” he said.
Mr. Conry has two children attending Louisiana State University.
Rappahannock National had filled his job with temporary CEOs previous to hiring Mr. Conry. He was informed about the opening through a consulting firm in Richmond that has done work for the bank, he said.
