Tuesday, May 4, has been selected as the day for a visit from the American Red Cross Bloodmobile to Rappahannock County. The mini-bloodmobile will be held at the Episcopal parish hall in Washington from noon until 5:45 p.m.

Judith Bloomer, daughter of

Dr. and Mrs. William Bloomer of Sperryville, has been selected by the Rappahannock Lions to represent the local club in the Lions International Youth Exchange Program this summer. As an exchange student, Judith will leave July 2 to stay five weeks with a Lions host family in Luxembourg. She will also spend three days in Paris, France, with other exchange students.

Rappahannock County is one of 30 school divisions from a total of 140 reporting 100 percent success on competency testing, a requirement for graduation beginning with the class of 1981.
