JOINT PUBLIC HEARING

INTEGRATED SOLID WASTE

MANAGEMENT PLAN: COUNTY OF RAPPAHANNOCK &

TOWN OF WASHINGTON On Monday, May 6,1991, at 7:00 p.m. at the Courthouse in Washington, Va., the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors and the Town Council of Washington, Virginia, shall each hold a public hearing on the Rappahannock-Rapidan Planning District Commission Intergrated Solid Waste Management and Recycling Plan. The plan, prepared by the consulting firm of Dewberry & Davis, will be explained by Mr. Albert Free, the Manager of the project, who will also answer questions concerning its findings and recommendations. Copies of the Plan are available for inspection from 8:30-4:30 Monday through Friday at the County Administrator's Office on Gay Street in Washington. The plan has been prepared in conformity with VR 672-50-01 and is intended to guide the County of Rappahannock and Town of Washington in Solid Waste planning decision-making for a five year period commencing July 1, 1991, and to accomplish the recycling goals as required by §10.1-1411 of the Code of Virginia, 1950 (as amended). All those persons interested in attending the hearing are invited to do so and make comment on the plan or its particulars.
