TTie lines for Stonewall-Hawthom District Were altered significantly in this redistricting. To increase the number of people in Piedmont District and decrease the number in Jackson District, the lines were changed to move people from Jackson to Stonewall-Hawthorn District and to move other people from Stonwall-Hawthom to Piedmont District.
One possibility would be for the county to go through this process again, this time leaving StonewallHawthom District alone and instead moving people from Jackson District to Hampton District and from Hampton District to Piedmont District.
If the county instead leaves the new redistricting plan alone, when people come to vote this fall in Stonewall-Hawthom District, some of them will get ballots for the 25th Senatorial District and some for the 26th Senatorial District. The same thing would happen to Piedmont District voters. The election judges would have to have lists of who is to get each ballot.
