A Sperryvflle man pleaded guilty to breaking into the Sperryville Exxon during a hearing in Rappahannock Circuit Court Monday.
Charles Alien Brown, 25, of Route 600, entered guilty pleas to breaking and entering and grand larceny. He was released on bond pending sentencing July 8.
Brown, in the company of a juvenile, broke into the gas station Dec. 21, 1990 and took pocket knives, gloves, Bic lighters and Aspirin, according to a statement in court by Commonwealth’s Attorney Peter Luke.
In other police and court activity this week:
• A 17-year-old Amissville boy and his 14-year-old female passenger were both hurt when he failed to negotiate a curve on Route 647, two miles west of Route 638, at 1:45 a.m. May 11, according to Sgt. D.S. Adams of the State Police.
Operating a 1988 Hyundai eastbound, the boy entered the curve at about 55 mph, ran off the left side, down an embankment and into a stream, according to Sgt. Adams.
Trooper R.E. Keen charged him with reckless driving.
Both occupants were tranported to the hospital for treatment. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $3,000.
