Carnival planned
The Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department will kick-off the first | carnival of the season in the county May 29-June 1. Special events will ; be planned for each evening. Wednesday night will be family night and you can ride-all-night for $5. Rides for Thursday, Friday and Saturday ! will be at the special rate of $6 for each evening and riding until clos- J ing. The parade will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday and crowning of the | queen will be held Friday night. Prizes will be given away Saturday 1 evening. !

Support group to meet
The Culpeper Memorial Hospital Caregiver’s Support Group will j be holding a reorganizational meeting at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 23 • in the boardroom of Culpeper Memorial Hospital.

“Camp Lighten Up” will feature a youth-oriented program to de- I velop weight-control management, self-esteem and behavior modification.

Spring band concert
The RCHS spring band concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 16 in the high school auditorium. This concert will feature a wide variety of music including a tribute to the music of Elvis Presley. “Come and enjoy a fine night of music,” said an organizer.
