While the new Williams family has no immediate plans to change the store, several things already show a change. The shelves, which line the walls and give aisles to the one room store, are filled with cans and bags and bottles.
A supply of handy man tools hangs from the rafters and a flea market table spills over in the center of the room.
“I love flea markets,” Mr. Williams said of the table.
“I thought it was a good idea to add to the store,” he said.
The table offers a variety of items from men’s work shoes to odd tools or baskets or cast iron pots and pans.
While the store has held no real surprises for the family, together the couple is learning the details.
“It’s a little more work than I thought,” Mrs. Williams said.
“You find out quick there is always something to do. You order this on Monday and shelve this on Tuesday and this is delivered the next day and so on.”
“I’m a city girl,” she said with a smile. “I did not think I would adjust well to life in the country, but I just love it.”
