Margaret Caldow
Mrs. Margaret Colburn Caldow of Washington, died Thursday, May 9 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
Mrs. Caldow was the daughter of the late Edward and Pearl Riley Colburn. She was married to Samuel C. Caldow Sr.
Mrs. Caldow was retired from the Federal Reserve Board.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Samuel C. Caldow Jr. of Oakton; a daughter, Nancy C. Keough of Vienna; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Monday, May 13 at Culpeper National Cemetery with Father Albert Verbeke officiating.
Clore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Paul Summers
Paul Dilwyn Summers, 91, a retired official of the Agency for International Development and former District resident, died of respiratory arrest Friday, May 10 at Manor Care-Fair Oaks nursing home in Fairfax. He lived in Washington, Va. on The Shade Farm.
He came to the District and began his government career in 1954 as deputy director of Far East operations at the International Cooperation Administration. From 1960 until retiring in 1965, he was stationed in the Philippines, where he was operations director for the Agency for International Development and held the diplomatic rank of minister.
