Wilson Woodward
Hubert Wilson Woodward, 73, of Sperryville, died Tuesday, May 7 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
A native of Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late Charles H. and Bessie Alther Woodward. He was employed by Skyline Cold Storage.
He is survived by his wife, Emma Clatterbuck Woodward; a daughter, Patricia Wood of Sperryville; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Virginia Woodward of Norfolk and Catherine Griffith of Richmond.
A funeral was held on Friday, May 10 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper, the Rev. John K. Burke Jr. officiating, with interment in Sperryville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Alex Sharp, Bill Sharp, John Lloyd Jenkins III, Jimmy Dodson, Troy Jenkins and H.B. Wood.
William Bazzle
William (Billy) James Bazzle, 16, of Haywood, died Wednesday, May 8 in Madison County.
He was born on February 7, 1975.
He was a 9th grade student at Madison High School, where he was a member of Varsity Football and Future Farmers of America.
Survivors include his father and mother, William and Linda Gore Bazzle of Haywood; two sisters, Miss Melissa Bazzle of Haywood and Tammy Faye Bazzle of Waynesboro; and grandmothers, Mrs. Marion Bazzle of Reva and Mrs. Arbelia Gore of Culpeper.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 11 at Clore Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Harold Eaton and the Rev. James Taylor officiating. Interment was in Madison Memorial Gardens in Madison.
