Paternal grandparent is Janie Settle of Rixeyville.

Guest book attendant was Amy Payne of Sperryville, cousin of the groom.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Lake of the Woods Clubhouse. When the couple left on their honeymoon to Jamaica, the bride was wearing a short sleeve split skirt silk dress with a corsage of peach roses.

A rehearsal dinner was given for the entire wedding party at the home of the groom’s parents Mr. and Mrs. John W. Settle.

Prenuptial parties included a shower given by the first grade teachers at Robert E. Lee Elementary School in Spotsylvania, a miscellaneous shower given by Denise Feagans and Alison Montgomery, a miscellaneous shower given by Bonnie Wharton and Rosalie Alther.

Mrs. Settle, a graduate of Longwood College, is currently employed with Spotsylvania County School System.

Mr. Settle is a graduate of Mary Washington College with a degree in Secondary Education.

The couple will reside in Spotsylvania.
