Step aerobics class
Step Aerobics began at the Amissville fire hall on Aug. 11. Classes will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cost is $30 for eight classes. Bring your own step. Call Lyn, 937-4063 or 349-2791 for more information.
Puppets at library
Final program! Attention all Rappahannock County Library Reading Team members, the final program will be held at the library at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 19. The ever popular Puppets by Pizzazz will present “Winners one and all.” Certificates will be presented to all gold-medal readers. The grand prizes will be awarded. Don’t forget, you must be present to win!
Card and craft show
The Culpeper Jaycees and Tom’s Trading Post will be sponsoring a sports card and craft show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26 in the Culpeper Town Mall. The show will take place rain or shine. Displays will be set up either inside or under roof on the sidewalk. Persons interested in reserving a space to display crafts or sports cards must send in a completed entry form by Aug. 22. The cost of each space is $10. Beahm family reunion
The descendants, friends and relatives of George W. and Nancy Bolen Beahm will hold their ninth annual reunion on Sunday, Sept. 6 at the Rappahannock Park near Washington. The event will begin at 9 a.m. and all friends and relatives are invited,
Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish and beverage. Coffee will be provided and if you wish to bring a lawn chair do so. For more information contact Dorothy J. Rhythm and blues
At 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14 newcomer to the Front Royal/Warren County area, Michael Mulvanney will bring his singing, songwriting, guitar and harmonica sills to the Gazebo gatherin’.
The Gazebo’s gatherin’s are sponsored by the Blue Ridge Arts Council Inc. and the Town of Front Royal Parks and Recreation Department. There is no admission, but a donation is much appreciated. For more information on this and other programs, call the Council at 703-635-9909.
Dodson family reunion
The reunion of the late Ernest and Neva Nicholson Dodson will be held at the Rappahannock Park, U.S. 211, Washington on Sunday, Aug. 16. A}1 relatives and friends are invited to come and bring a.pic nic lunch. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m.
Auction items sought
Items are needed by Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department for an auction to be held at 6 p.m. on Sept. 26. Anyc.ie wishing to donate items should call 675-3615 and leave a message. The auction will benefit the fire department.
