Carnival at Chester Cap
Due to bad weather the Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department rescheduled their carnival for two days, Friday, Aug. 21 and Satur day, Aug. 22.
On Saturday there will be a horseshoe tournament at 12 noon. Saturday night the band Stonebridge will perform two shows, 7:308:30 and 9:30-10:30. Please help support your local fire department. “There will be ftin, food and games for all ages and an invitation is ex tended to everyone,” said an organizer.
Auction scheduled
A benefit auction for the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad will be held Saturday, Oct. 3 at the fire hall. For pickup service call 937-5206, 937-4781 or 937-5282.
Free yoga classes
A loose and loyal group of yoga practitioners meet from 6-7 p.m. every Monday evening at the Middle Street Gallery. Production planned
Blithe Spirit will be performed by the Front Royal Little Theatre in the fall of 1992. This smash comedy hit of the London and Broadway stages was written by Noel Coward and will be directed by Cephe Fahnestock-Place. It is a whimsical play concerning a novelist whose second marriage is troubled by the ghost of the first, wife that is.
