Next Mr. McCarthy showed the ARB members a light fixture he intends tQ have installed above the door of his office. He said the brass light fixture was donated by his father, and that he had not made application for ARB approval because the fixture would not be visible from the street “unless someone lies down in the street to look up at it.”
The ARB also approved plans presented by Phyllis Mariott to add windows and a door to the storage shed and garage at the Foster-Harris House. A disguised garage entrance will also be put on the south side.
Ms. Mariott also won approval to provide a fenced yard for her dog. A steel grating will be attached to fiberglass poles driven into the ground alongside picket and rail fencing.
