Individual to perform hardware maintenance on microcomputer systems & procure repairs for equipment. Identify potential automated applications, design systems & write code & user documentation. Provide assistance/ instruction to microcomputer users & conduct training in microcomputer usage & software systems. Requires knowledge of manual & automated information processing systems, user friendly applications language and BASIS programming language, including dBase III & IV, Lotus 1-23, & Word Perfect. Must be able to communicate effectively orally & in writing & provide microcomputer/ software systems training. Ability to identify, solve & advise on microcomputer applications problems. Degree, training and/or experience in computer Science or related field which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Salary: $23,505 - $35,888.
TRANSPORTATION MATERIALS TECHNICIAN #17888 - Culpeper. Individual to assist in gathering information on soil, rock & groundwater to evaluate & design roads & bridges. Maintain equipment & support vehicles & help to operate drilling equipment, soils augers & hollow stem augers. Identify & record field data & prepare reports; maintain equipment use & rental records; and locate borings & work with utility locators. Must possess knowledge of materials & testing procedures. Ability to record field data & prepare reports: interpret & follow written & oral instructions; and perform manual labor. Valid VA Operator's License, safety shoes & a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. Salary: $15,055 $22,987.
