Isabel Brooker, an herbalist for 20 years who has taken classes from Adelma Grenier-Simmons. Mrs. Brooker has given this workship at the YWCA, elementary schools and for garden club programs in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Marine Pvt. Tremayne L. Allsberry, son of Anna L. and James W. Allsberry Jr. of Flint Hill recently graduated from the Marine Corps Basic Combat Engineer Course.
During the couse at the Marine Corps Engineer School, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, N.C., students study the fundamentals of engineering support for combat units and receive instruction of the tools and procedures for building bridges, roads and field fortifications.
Studies also include the use of demolitions, landmine warfare and camouflage techniqes.
The 1990 graduate of Rappahannock County High School joined the Marine Corps in July, 1992.
