“Within a few days they were shelling Sarajevo, and that has continued for the last two years,” he said. In Bosnia now the Serbians control 70 percent of the country, while the Bosnians control about 20 percent “mostly little safe zones,” and the Croats control about 10 percent, he said.
The Serbs had guns and armaments, and the Croats can easily get them. “The Bosnians had no such luck,” he said. “The Bosnian soldiers don’t have guns. They say, ‘Give us guns to defend our homes and children,”’ Dr. Clarke explained.
He said the slaughter of Bosnians, which the Serbs describe as “ethnic cleansing is genocide in my mind. We’re witnessing again what we witnessed 45 years ago.”

Vice-Chair
Arthur W. Arundel of The Plains has been named to the new post of Vice Chairman of the Virginia Racing Commission.
The action came at the Commission’s meeting in Richmond on April 13 at which the body set its major three-day June conference. The VRC plans to approve this summer one of six license applications for Virginia’s first race track, including one proposed site in Loudoun and one near Haymarket in Prince William County.
