bpring Event Saturday

. The Washington Baptist Church’s annual Spring Event is Saturday, April 23 at the church beginning at 10 a.m. The church people will have good, baked goods, plants (flowers and vegetables) and items at Grandma’s Attic for sale.

Advisory Committee To Meet

The Gifted and Talented Advisory Committee for the Rappahannock County Public School will be in the Rappahannock County Elementary School library at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 25. The meeting is open to the public.

Gardener's Assistance

The Extension Master Gardeners will have regular office hours to assist homeowners with home horticulture and gardening problems this spring and summer. They are from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and from 2-4 on Wednesday afternoons. If you can’t stop by the Extension Office during those hours, call and leave a message at 675-3619.

Storyhour At Library

The final session of the Rappahannock County Library’s storyhour will be held at 10:30 a.m. on April 26. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed April Heddleston’s program about families. The children listened to stories, did finger plays, and made puppets of their favorite family member. They have also enjoyed program about spring, ants, and animals. All preschoolers and their parents are invited to participate in these free programs. Registration is not required.

Wresting Action Coming

Exciting professional wrestling action is coming to Culpeper, benefiting the Culpeper County Volunteer Rescue Squad. The Continental Wrestling Alliance presents “Wrestle FestIM” Saturday, May 7 at Culpeper Middle School. The first bout begins at 7:30 p.m. The evening’s card features five exciting matches, including a light-heavyweight title bout pitting Culpeper own “Ninja Warrior” against challenger Scott McKeever and a CWA World Tag Team Title Match.

Tickets are on sale now in Culpeper at Minuteman Printers, Little Caesars Pizza, Mosby Meadow Market, Tastee-Freez and Culpeper Music. General admission tickets are $5 in advance, $7 at the door, studnets at $3 in advance and $5 at the door.For more information call Scott at 825-6903.
