And burning the wood is very highly toxic. You can find these facts and more in Organic Gardening (Jan. 1994). 1 Some coutries have banned its use, others “highly discourage” its use. What we can do now is to apply a water sealant on the wood to protect our children and to minimize its harmful effects I am calling on the community for help to raise the money for the sealant and to come out and join in a painting day to apply it.
