RLEP (Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection) will have information tables set up for regional and local environmental issues, including the Disney, Take a Second Look Campaign.

On Saturday, the Rappahannock County Elementary School’s environmental club will be holding an open house at the school from 1 to 4 p.m. Under the guidance of teacher Elizabeth James, the children will be selling Mexican sunflower seedlings, which attract butterflies. A large yard sale will be held, and plenty of kids’ games, costing 25 cents. Environmental information will be available, as will food and drink.

RLEP president Hunt Harris will be leading a hike to White Oak Canyon this Sunday. This will be the first of a series of hikes to local sites. Interested hikers should meet at 3 p.m. at the county park or at 3:40 p.m. at the White Oak Trailhead. Call Mr. Harris for more information at 636-3066.
