visor, county planning commissioner, planning district commissioner, school board member, mayor and councilman. We weren’t on the same side of every issue, but we agreed far more often than we disagreed. And always, I found him to be interested, honest, well informed, well intentioned and willing to listen. While I might have quarrreled occasionally with his votes, I never doubted his deep commitment to and love for the political subdivisions he represented-Rappahannock County and the town of Washington.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could say the same thing about every elected and appointed official?

Thanks to Ieesha Bulin, I’ve been made aware of the more recent studies available with the truth about treated lumber. Since my husband, Rick, and I organized the building of the pirate ship at the Rappahannock Recreation Center we would like to do what we can to protect children (of all ages) who play there from the harmful effects.
