Dedication of the Wall of Liberty in Normandy is scheduled for May 8, 1995, and enrollment of World War II veterans to have their names and hometowns inscribed continues, according to Nelson Revercomb of Peola Mills.
To date, 63,000 veterans have signed up. Any person who served in Europe, the Mediterranean and North Africa during World War II is eligible. The Battle of Normandy Foundation hopes to have 150,000 registered by the time of the dedication.
