Discussed

To the Editor;

Since there was discussion last week in this paper about offering AP Chemistry at RCHS, I wish to take this opportunity to ask some questions about the planning to do this.

1) What is the school division willing to suppy in material support? Some history; The last time we had this course, for the first year I stripped the budget from other classes to get materials for the three students in this class. The second year I chose not to take from other classes. As a partial solution, I requested $200 from the school division for materials, and was turned down. In fact, originally I was told the school system could not even afford the three student textbooks, until I offered to pay for them out of my pocket. What is the plan now for supplying lab materials?
