The special interests were able to stop Clinton’s health-care reform, (spending tens of millions of dollars in the process) but he put it on the agenda and it is not stopped forever. But for the bare-faced obstructionism of the GOP, we could have had campaign reform, lobbyist control and GATT, the largest world-wide tax cut in history.
